About me

I am a Japanese-Danish artist from Vienna and trained at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. I specialise in a movement based approach to acting. Using the physicality of the living body as an instrument, to unearth the subconscious and speak the unspoken. My background includes techniques such as Laban, Animal Studies, Lecoq.

I was born into a family of classical musicians in Vienna and decided to commit to another, yet not too distant art form, that of interpreting the human condition. Whilst trying to make sense of the ever shifting mosaic of life, it has become a passion, an obsession, and a necessity for me to bring stories to life. Here is some of the work I’ve done: debut movie role in 'Code 46' (dir. Michael Winterbottom). Featuring roles in several projects with art filmmaker Daria Martin - showing at the Tate, Hayward Gallery, ArtBasel:Miami Beach, Performa 07, amongst others. Collaborations and research projects with artists Annja Krautgasser, Antoinette Zwirchmayr, Toxic Dreams, Roman Scheidl, SDNA, Vanessa Ewan (senior lecturer at Central), Scarlet Theatre, and in work involving butoh and contemporary dance. Cinema lead roles in the fantasy thriller ‘Polder’ by Samuel Schwarz & Julian Grünthal, in the arthouse feature ‘A Low Life Mythology’ (dir. Lior Shamriz) and in 'Shell Shock' (dir. James Price).
